Iced Martinez zombie photoshoot

I have had the pleasure of working with a photographer lately. He has been kind enough to contact me when he needs an MUA, and when I need a photog, he takes the pictures for free. So far, we have a lot in mind. But we have only done two shoots. I must say, they're pretty great! First up: Zombie Photoshoot

Battered.

Overdue.

Pictures I took from the play; "Astra".

Part of the team, from left to right!: Sean, Jen, and Amanda!

Eric! Another makeup artist on the team.

Makeup I did. I forgot her name, but this look was definitely something I was proud of.

My half of the makeup area.  The other half? Eric.

Male Makeup I did.

Astra herself! Had to really lay the blush on thick for people to see.

Man makeup.

My personal favorite! This makeup was definitely a hit.

Select few of pictures that I took. Enjoy!

Oh my goodness!

This was very, VERY fun to do. This was created using Ben Nye Nose & Scar wax, and Ben Nye's clown white. Cinema Secrets blood gel and FX blood, as well as the injury stack. Fun times. :)

Two faced- death on one side, the other? Normal. This was inspired by a makeup artist named Dusty. All Cinema Secrets products were used!

Astra Dance

So this month? I was able to land a job with a dance/play called Astra. I'm very excited about it since it's theatrical makeup, and the third act? Gothic makeup. The costumes are fantastic, and the actors/dancers are even better. I don't have a lot of pictures up of it yet, and I'm not putting any up until I get permission from the actors in the play. But I will show the website:

http://www.astradance.com

The full explanation, show times, ticket costs and all that fun stuff? Located on that website. Personally, I'm pretty excited to get to do the makeup. The first two acts are Victorian styled. Something very simple and natural. But I think we might want to do something special for Astra (one of the main characters). Then there are the fire dancers (who I'm not touching, that's up to the one who hired me, Amanda and the other makeup artist Sean) The third act? Gothic styles. Oh we all have some damn good ideas for that particular act. Just wait. October 22nd is when the actual play begins and that's when I'm going to ask if I can put up pictures. :)

But for now:

The lovely people I work with. Left to right: Sean, Amanda, and Eric.

Lovely people. They make me feel very comfortable and the first team I have actually worked with. Great personalities, senses of humor, and they do what they say they're going to do which is a huge plus. Thanks for being an excellent team you guys, and thanks for being an excellent boss Amanda!

But yeah, that's what's coming up. Then I'm going to do a video review of some products that I have done reviews for in the past. Video reviews are a bit better!

'till then.
